A Non-Anxious Presence
44m
In an increasingly anxious environment, we sense a growing need for God's loving, non-anxious presence. While at times called by different names, throughout Christian history the practice of spiritual direction has been a tool for recognizing and responding to God's presence even in the most turbulent times. Marked by the convictions that the Spirit is always at work and that humans are invited to join that work, the field of spiritual direction practices deep listening, patience, curiosity, discernment, and hope. This workshop will utilize teaching and discussion to explore spiritual direction within a Wesleyan Holiness framework, and the resources it offers to clergy, lay leaders, and congregations.
