Session 2: The Howling Man
Preachers' Conference 2026

Why was this man chained? What was he howling? Where was his community? This story raises many questions when it comes to the community's role with the hurt and traumatized among us. As we see in so many healing stories, Jesus doesn't remove persons from community but reestablishes their relationship to community and signals that healing must be worked out and realized in community. The man needs his community, and the community needs this man.
The sermon is followed by a practical grounding practice and a time of Q&A.
