Disability Ministry may seem daunting or overwhelming to many pastors and leaders. There are so many things to consider: what resources do we need, what questions do we ask, how do we train, etc… In this workshop, Rev. Ryan Nelson will share a personal perspective from more than 16 years of pastoral ministry to help answer the question: how can we engage in disability ministry when we don’t have all the answers?
Rev. Ryan Nelson is an ordained elder in the Church of the Nazarene. Ryan has served for more than 16 years in the COTN; first as a youth pastor then as a senior pastor. He is currently serving as the Disability Ministry Coordinator for the Church of the Nazarene (NDI Office). Ryan also spent 11 years as an educator with Amarillo Independent School District (Texas). Ryan is married to Rev. CSI Serina Nelson. Ryan and Serina served together as co-pastors throughout their pastoral ministry. They have one daughter, Marley.
